"The injured were immediately shifted to district hospital and the condition of two is said to be critical," said the official.
The accident took place near Birma Bridge in Udhampur district, about 1000 km south of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.
"This morning a vehicle carrying pilgrims to Amarnath shrine collided with a truck near Birma Bridge on bypass here, injuring 13 of them," a senior police official posted in Udhampur told Xinhua over telephone.
